4-Year Online High School
Standard Program Overview
Students meet program requirements by successfully completing 24 credit hours in specified subject areas. After successfully completing all program requirements, students recieve an official transcript and letter of completion.
- Recommends that applicants be at least 14 years old
- Offers a robust traditional high school curriculum
- Satisfies the basic high school requirements for admission to most colleges
- Requires completion of at least three courses every six months (an extension may be granted if extenuating circumstances arise)
- Helps students prepare to take the ACT or SAT
- Requires that students complete a minimum of 3.0 BYU Independent Study credit hours, regardless of the number of credits earned at other schools

An elective course is any non-required course offered that has not previously been taken. Courses that may fulfill the requirements for two or more subjects can only be counted once. For students who plan to attend college, we recommend taking 2.0 credits of a world language sequence as elective courses.
