Some of our courses require the use of textbooks. If your course requires a textbook, you should follow these directions.
Independent Study now offers students the choice of three bookstores: the BYU Bookstore, Amazon.com, and ebay.com. For your convenience, we have linked each textbook to the BYU Bookstore and to two online bookstores (Amazon.com and ebay.com) so you may order your texts directly from one of the two online bookstores by clicking on their bookstore logo. You are of course free to purchase from a bookstore not listed in the catalog if you wish. Use the ISBN number to more easily purchase the same textbook elsewhere.
Textbooks may be ordered through the BYU Bookstore by ordering them on our enrollment form, calling 1-888-454-6884, sending a fax to (801) 422-0070, emailing bkst_ind@byu.edu, or mailing your order to BYU Bookstore Text Department, BYU, Provo, UT 84602. Normal shipping is via UPS ground service. There will be a shipping charge of $5 to $7 added to the total price (see chart below for more information). Other shipping options are available only with credit card purchases by phoning 1-888-454-6884.
